Former Physician Faces Sexual Assault Allegations Against 38 Patients
Legal authorities report that a former physician now faces charges for performing sexual assaults involving 38 individuals who were patients.
Details of the Grave Charges
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous sexual offences – comprising acts against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
A deputy chief prosecutor stated, “Our prosecutors have diligently worked to assist a thorough and intricate investigation, meticulously examining the available evidence to determine that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
Scope of the Police Inquiry
The charges come after what police called a “complex investigation” into reported assaults at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and Russells Hall hospital.
The defendant is due to appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.

Prosecutors said the 45 charges comprise:
- 15 counts of sexual assault.
- 17 counts of penetrative assault.
- Nine counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- 3 counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- One count of attempting to assault by penetration.
