English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been selected as contenders for the 2025 Young Sports Star of the Year award.

These three athletes have been celebrated for their outstanding achievements over the previous year.

Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a record-breaking innings.

Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his remarkable rise.

The three contenders were revealed during a live broadcast on a national radio breakfast show.

The 2025 recipient will be announced during a live broadcast on the prestigious sports ceremony show on the 18th of December.

The event will be aired from 7 PM GMT.

The Football Star

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Only 90 days after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to European Championship victory.

She came off the bench to score key tying goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final.

Her incredible contributions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.

Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the top young European talent.

She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.

Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.

"To be named a finalist for this award is a privilege," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."

Littler's Profile

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler's 2025 began in incredible form as - while still 17 - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.

He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.

And he wasn't finished there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the first time.

At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, smashing the previous record.

"Earning a spot on the shortlist for the honour once more is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a highlight for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."

The Cricket Sensation

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and burst into the spotlight with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.

Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.

It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.

Perrin finished second in the run-scoring charts and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.

"I'm deeply humbled to be nominated for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it motivates more young women to get into cricket."
